A storytelling program crafted in celebration of one hundred years of the N°5 fragrance and told through high jewelry.

Although the restrictions of the pandemic prohibited travel to Paris, I was given the opportunity to continue my relationship with Chanel Haute Joaillerie and contribute to the program created to celebrate one hundred years of the N°5 fragrance.

To evolve the savoir-faire concept—a consistent element of the high jewelry storytelling—we isolated the flowers of the N°5 composition—May rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine—on black to create a link with the flower iconography found in some of the jewelry, and to celebrate the origin of the fragrance born in the fields of Grasse.

The 55.55-carat diamond—cut to specificity for the hallmark piece of the collection—was filmed to reveal the fire and depth of this rare and remarkable gemstone. Like the golden juice of the N°5 fragrance, topazes sparkle with this same visual treatment.

Interviews with Patrice Leguéreau, the designer of the N°5 collection and Director of the Fine Jewelry Creation Studio, formed the base of the copy, which is divided into five chapters: The Bottle; The Stopper; The Number; The Flowers; The Fragrance Trail. The content spans the collection’s inspiration to the minutiae of the design and savoir-faire process.
