I led creative for the first permanent home for high jewelry on CHANEL’s website, which joined haute couture, fashion, beauty, and watches on chanel.com. I conceptualized the narrative structure and visual approach, art directing all of the photography and films. Additionally, I collaborated with the CHANEL team to develop the online experience.
It was my creative intention to transport the viewer to CHANEL’s high jewelry boutique in Paris on the Place Vendôme. Rather than create in-store photography, I used the brand’s key decorative elements — the omnipresent tweed, the mirrors and fireplaces, the quartz and rock crystal — to define the set. One of my references was a reflection of me peering into the window staring at the diamonds, which we recreated to become part of the permanent portfolio.
